Privacy policy
Last updated: 2026-10-19
This policy explains what personal data this site handles. It is short because the site collects very little.
Who we are
Best Data Catalogs, at bestdatacatalogs.com, is responsible for the personal data described here. You can reach us only through the contact form. The site has no user accounts, no payments and no comments, and you can read every page and use the ranking tools without giving us any personal data.
What we collect
- Contact form. When you send a message we receive your name, email address, the topic you chose and your message. If you choose Copyright notice we also receive the copyrighted work you describe, the URL of the material on this site, your two statements and your electronic signature.
- Hosting logs. Our hosting provider automatically logs technical data such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the time of each request, for security and to keep the site running.
- Browser storage. The site's page router keeps one sessionStorage entry, tsr-scroll-restoration-v1_3, holding scroll positions so the back button returns you to where you were. It contains no personal data and is cleared when you close the tab. The site sets no cookies and no localStorage entries.
- Google Fonts. Our fonts load from Google Fonts. When they load, Google receives your IP address and browser details, as with any web request.
What we do not use
We run no analytics, no advertising and no third-party scripts other than the Google Fonts stylesheet.
Why we use it and on what legal basis
Under the GDPR and the UK GDPR we rely on our legitimate interests in operating and securing the site and in answering the messages people send us. Where the law requires consent, we ask for it and you can withdraw it at any time.
International transfers
Our providers may process data outside your country. When they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep contact messages for as long as we need to handle them and then delete them. Server logs are kept for a limited period set by the hosting provider.
Your rights
EU and UK. You can ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and portability, and you can object to processing and withdraw consent. You can also complain to your data protection supervisory authority.
California (CCPA as amended by the CPRA). You have the right to know what we collect, to delete it, to correct it, to opt out of sale or sharing (we do neither) and not to be treated differently for using these rights.
Elsewhere. You also have the rights you have under other privacy laws that apply to you.
To use any of these rights, write to us through the contact form with the topic Privacy request.
Children
The site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
